Building a House - Digging the Well

As many, but maybe not all, of you know we are in the process of building a house. Actually we've been in the process of getting permits to build the house for the last 8 months. It has not been pleasant or pretty or easy or even sane. All I can say is that part is almost over.

Permits went through and the well has been dug.

The big question has always been would they find water? Because they could dig a whole 500 feet deep and may not find anything.

Buuuut they did so we'll breath a sigh of relief and dig in our heals for the next step...

power.

January - Not Much but There's a Reason

What a crazy month and only three pics to show for it but I'll address that in my next post.

The girls were both chosen to represent their school at the district reflections contest. Madilyn for a drawing and Emma for a drawing and two photos. The school district held a special awards ceremony where we found out one of Emma's photos was chosen to go on to the state level. We are all proud of both of them.

Another trip to the science center, only this time we dragged Jer's sister Angela and her family along. The kids, with Eric and Anders, tried out the hurricane simulator. Funny thing, it took Jeremy awhile to get the machine to take his dollars. The six of them were standing in there for a long time. From the outside it was pretty funny. Not sure they thought so. :)

December - Is it February already?

Only running two months behind. Not bad. Not good, but not bad.

Emma joined a children's choir at the local community college. Her first concert!

Complete with bouquet.

Ginger bread houses Garrett and Emma's.

Madilyn's

We spent Christmas at my parent's house in Idaho, where we went with my brother's family to this trampoline place. All the kids had a great time except for Madilyn. She hyper extended her knee ten minutes after we got there. She is still wearing the brace and we're hoping she'll get the ok to start gymnastics again in March.

Christmas pjs!

The best part, snow!

Snow, snow, snow!

How is it that we spent two weeks with my parents and got no pictures with them? Woops.
