Turning 7

Emma turned 7 years old last month. As always, I can't believe its been that long since she was born.

Uh, in case you can't tell, that's a solar system rice crispy 'cake'. It was a lot harder to make than I anticipated but she could still identify all the planets. The only one that didn't turn out very well was Saturn (that would be the big one that looks like a flying poo).

 Oh my sweet Emma.
Last year, her bus driver pulled me aside to tell me what a joy Emma was to have on the bus. Not just a joy but that Emma was Joy.

I had never heard a better description of her. She is overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic. She gets excited for the littlest pleasures. She loves friends. She loves her family. She writes me a letter or draws me a picture everyday telling me that she loves me.

Emma loves school. She comes home from school and practices writing her numbers. I think she stopped at 250 before she started over again. At parent teacher conference her teacher told me that she often finishes her work and then tries to help the other kids with theirs.

How did we get so lucky to have this little one?
