We took the kids snow shoeing. We were realistic about this venture into the mountains. We knew that the kids would probably only last 30-45 minutes but we wanted to try it. We drove to Snoqualmie Pass looking for somewhere open enough to try our snow shoes. Turns out they charge you $17 a person to walk around the ski area with snow shoes. Nice.
We tried a place across the freeway owned by the forest service. They charge $20 a car and we had no cash. Soooo, Jeremy dropped me and the girls off at the Sno Park and he drove the car back to the ski area to park. That's when we figured out we'd forgotten Madilyn's coat. She got mine and I used my slightly shrunken wool ski sweater. Jeremy then hiked 1/4 mile back with Garrett in the backpack.
Emma whined as soon as Jer drove away that she wanted to get back in the car. We had about 20 minutes of fun before the real whining began when Madilyn joined in. The other fun part was the dog and people doody all over the trail. Again, nice.
We avoided poo and left exactly one hour after arrival. Kids were crying, except for Garrett, parents were grumpy, the van was muddy, a typical Saturday at the Nash house.
You have to try, right?
Yea! You're back! I missed you. And I'm very impressed that you managed to get at least one picture of everyone. And you're mostly all smiling. Kudos!
